Skoal Tobacco
Skoal tobacco is a U.S. company that makes snuff and dipping tobacco, both of which are marketed as smokeless tobacco. US Smokeless Tobacco first manufactured Skoal in 1934.
Skoal, as a name brand of a tobacco, is a tobacco product that is shredded. It is referred to as American Snuff or Moist Snuff. Skoal typically is sold in 1.2 oz plastic cans or tins. The finished product is made available in two textures, Long Cut (more string-like) and Fine Cut (more grain-like). "Bandits" which are paper-like pouches, similar to tea bags, are filled with the tobacco and are a less than a half-inch in size.
The Skoal brand was originally only available in wintergreen flavor, but below is a list of other flavors that have been made available: * Straight * Classic * Wintergreen * Spearmint * Cherry * Vanilla * Apple Blend * Peach * Mint *Citrus Blend * Berry Blend * Skoal Edge, a strong Wintergreen.
Usually each March a new flavor of Skoal is introduced to the market.
